Reviews for Kenwood DNX7180 In-Dash Head Unit Car Stereo (Electronics) Bought the DNX7180 from Best Buy.. They stated it was the newest and absolute best, I bit...
Okay had to add camera, add Sat radio, add sterring, add HD rec, add longer BT cable.. So be ready this unit needs so much to make even half of of the icons do the rest.
If you dont have an Iphone or Ipod about 1/3 of the the rest of the icons do no longerhing. They must have made this being 2001 version not just for use with Apple OS but with Android. So Im down to 1/4 of the icons working now however no matter. Maybe an replace to the rec will make it extra common or maybe they havea handle Apple I dont know.
Okay the Positives.. Nice measurement screen, Bright easy to learn, Nice far off, icons are straight ahead, drag and drop prime three. Garmin Nav nice. Lifetime Navtrafix five big names..
Now the unhealthy.. The extra you use it seems the slower it will get. Go seep into to sub menus will get really laggy.
Make a telephone name and use the dialer on screen? Ya when you may simply have got several mins. The prolong when pushing a host and it going on display saying sure thats a 7 is from the 1970's WAY too much lag in phone interface. Big reveal skinny little keys as smartly made for woman fingers evidently.
Got a great feature! Split monitor! Well its about as pointless as eight megs of ram in a computer. I finally and I mean finally found out find out how to put the icon menu on the other aspect but it surely does nothing actually. I truly have nav on one side ond click on Sirrius radio it turns purple thats it lol.
Reviews for Kenwood DNX7180 In-Dash Head Unit Car Stereo (Electronics) I called Kenwood they usually mentioned a 1.5 second prolong prior to the interface even replys to your action is normal. Poor design if they really feel that method. The unit is just too sluggish to even use. I'll be selling this and buying a Pioneer. I will by no implys purchase a Kenwood ever again after this expertise. Crutchfield was very assistful in putting me involved with the best possible folks, who sadly, weren't in a position to help (Kenwood). The howevertons on the unit are too small / part of the monitor and it's impossible to inform what you hit because of the 1.5 2d extend sooner than it even begins processing. Stay a lengthy method away.
Reviews for Kenwood DNX7180 In-Dash Head Unit Car Stereo (Electronics) Where do I start... picked this up at best possible purchase... had it put in by the fellows there... they sucked however that's now not what this evaluate is about.
Firstly... the is my first evaluation ever... I'm scripting this because I do now not need any individual else to purchase this pos.
For $1200 it higher "work"
1. It locked up 1 day after getting it.
2. It turned into tremendous sluggish earlier than it locked up.
3. The guide stated the one way to fix it after a lock up was once to hit the reset howeverton within the bottom left nook. This reset the whole receiver to factory defaults. (omg i need to punch someone)
4. The DSP sounds horrible compared to the method it sounds after I bypass it.
Kenwood messed this up big time... here's what most definitely occured.
1. they needed to meet a closing date to have the options complete
2. there used to ben't enough time to optimize the options
3. they called it "complete" and shipped it with the worst high quality ever
I'll by no implys purchase a kenwood receiver again. Their commitment to high quality is non existant.
